The Gulfstream Park Project began June 30, 2026 and is part of the improvements to the MUD #2 Water Supply Facility Project.
The timeline for completion is 120 days.
During construction the parking lot for Gulfstream Park will be temporarily closed.

Gulfstream Park Project
2025
* March 2025 – Agreement was signed by TW HOA & FBC MUD #2.
* April 2025 – District check was deposited into the court registry in the amount of $76,131.00 ($10,00.00 attorney fees, $66,131.00 award amount).
* April 2025 – Petition and Condemnation was awarded & signed by FBC Special Commissioners.
* May 2025 – District filed the motion for entry of final judgment and the proposed final judgment with the court; Final Judgement was granted by the court; Court granted the HOA’s request to withdraw the award amount from the Court’s registry.
* May 2025 District took ownership of easements West end of Gulfstream Park.
* June 2025 – District engineers are revising plan sheets to submit to agencies for final review.
* July 2025 – Harris and Fort Bend County, the Governing agencies, preapproved plan sheets.
* August 2025 – Scheduled to begin public advertising for bids in August.
* September 2025 – Present bids results & award contractor(s). C3 Construction LLC was awarded the contract on 09/23/2025; $6,095,000.00
* Park CLOSED December 1, 2025 in preparation of MUD #2 starting construction in January 2026.
2026
* January 2026 – Target for construction to start.
* Mid-January 2026 – Construction delayed by Harris and Fort Bend County, the Governing agencies delaying start date.
* February 2026 – Harris and Fort Bend County, the Governing agencies, requested further specifications & Information.
* March 2026 – Construction for Fort Bend MUD #2 project delayed. Awaiting final confirmation/approval from the Governed agencies.
* April 2026 – Construction for Fort Bend MUD #2 project delayed. Awaiting final confirmation/approval from the Governed agencies.
* May 21, 2026 – Harris and Fort Bend Counties approved project. Preconstruction meeting to be scheduled.
* Preconstruction meeting held June 2, 2026. * NOTICE TO PROCEED DATE IS JUNE 30, 2026. * September 2026 – Completion target for Gulfstream Park.
* Construction began – June 30, 2026.
* Detention pond completed July 21, 2026
* 07/28/2026 – Installing of outfall & drainage pipe began.
* 07/31/2026 – Begin removal of 7 pole lights, landscaping project to begin.
* 08/03/26 – Removal of partial pathway. Preparing for new pathways/concrete walk.
* 08/31/26 – Completed removal of 7 light posts, firming pathway around detention basin.
* 09/08/26 – Preparation to start cedar fence.
* 09/15/26 – Drainage for detention pond completed.
* 09/22/26 – Cedar fence completed.
* 10/01/26 – Completing power and water for the revised irrigation system. No sod laid in the park until the irrigation is in place.
* 10/19/26 – Fence between park and water plant removed with temporary chain link fence erected to prepare for the concrete fence. Pillars will be poured for the concrete fence once old fencing is removed between park and water plant and temporary fence is in place.
